CASTING, ASSEMBLY
In the next step, the jewellery goes through the casting process where the wax is melted away and is replaced with your metal of choice in molten form, gold or platinum. The metal then dries into the shape on your jewellery.
We then need to make some aesthetic adjustments, as well as make sure the piece can functionally support gemstones. This stage is called "Assembly."
SOLDERING
The next step is to solder them together using a blowtorch. The solder will be either gold or platinum. It must be a different alloy from the ring parts, which gives it a lower melting temperature.
HAMMERING
We use a steel spike, called a mandrel, which helps to achieve a precise round shape, as well as making the ring the correct finger size, measured against the markings on the mandrel.
POST SOLDER FILING, EMERY PAPER APPLIED
Once the diamond setting has been soldered and hammered to shape, we bring the file out once more, to remove any excess metal and to ensure the joins are seamless and there are no visible hammer marks. Next, we pull out the emery paper, almost exactly the same thing you would use to manicure your nails.
JEWELLERY BEING POLISHED
Polisher will polish the jewellery to perfection, and it is shiny as possible.
Engraving will also be done in this stage.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCEDURES
Your order will pass to our quality assurance team for inspection, and each detail is analyzed to make sure production was successful. You will also receive an inspection certificate with the details of the specific person who examine your order.
ITEM BEING PACKED AND SENT
Your item will be sent back to us after it has been hallmarked. We will carry out a final check, and it will be packed and ready for dispatch.
Once the order is dispatched, we will send you an email with the tracking number of the shipment so that you can follow its progress.
